Horizon Line

There is a light on the horizon

That bridges the waters

And another that bends the tides

A boundless mirror grasping for ground, for stars

Never seeing in itself the flickering

Reflections of fire from afar

One never knowing the gravity of the other

These human hands could never gather

The thoughts in the mind of God

Which orchestrates such a dance

But not all has fallen through our fingertips

We’ve plucked a notion for a motion

That like follows like- so

Let us listen to the lead of these lights

Interlaced in timeless space

And grounded in resounding grace
